I AM an ARTIST

Art can be challenging sometimes, things don’t always turn out the way we planned. It can be discouraging, confusing, and creates a perfect little nook for negativity to dwell... and grow.. and grow..

All of a sudden phrases like "you're so bad at this" "who the hell would want this" "UGH.. why can't I just get this part right?" "I don't belong in this community!" .. become part of your everyday thoughts.

Negativity in life, and towards ourselves, will never completely go away but that's why giving yourself the tools and rituals in place to move through the negativity is important.

Every season I take a feelings inventory with where I currently feel with myself, my art and my business.

I write down the good, the wins, the evolution

and..

I also write down those little nagging negatives

After writing those negative thoughts down, you might feel like rotten potato. You might even start cursing my name in anger that I would put you through such a grooling task.. But I promise.. it'll be worth it.

Take those nagging negatives and transform them.

"My art isn't realistic and it sucks" ➡

"Every time I practice creating, my art becomes more and more realistic and unfolds another creative part of my abilities. I AM allowing my art to unfold before me and I AM enjoying the process of becoming a better artist! I AM better today, than I was yesterday and I will be better tomorrow, than I AM today."

Now.. I AM TERRIBLE AT ART
becomes..
I AM CREATIVELY EVOLVING!

This shift creates a visual for you and rewires your brain into a more up lifting state v.s. bashing and being hard on yourself.

What you say matters.
What you say about yourself, matters.
What you say about your art, matters.
and most importantly, your art, no matter what it looks like, matters.

It's time to attract positive creativity
I AM an ARTIST
